Potential Cannabis Resolutions for 2020 - Pick Your Favorite!

weed resolutions

Here we are coming to an end to 2019 and boy let me tell you – it’s been quite a ride. I don’t know about you but I can’t say definitively that it’s been a “good year”, however, it also wasn’t necessarily a “bad year” either.

It’s been a real bastard though – at least for me. Nonetheless, with the year coming to an end, some people establish goals for what they wish to achieve in 2020 in order to chain the continual “sameness” of their current existence.

While I personally do not subscribe to New Year’s resolutions, and rather call them what it is – “Self Improvement-cuz-I’m-not-a-lazy-bitch-and-want-better-things-in-life-for-myself”. I don’t need a specific time of the year to do self-improvement – for me it’s a consistent thing.

However, I do believe in establishing “Desire Goals” or things that you are interested in. This is especially true (for me) when it comes to things like cannabis or mycology or anything of that sort. I believe challenging yourself each year and to become a “fool” at something and master it over time. For me, each year is a goal to do something I have never done before – and to learn how to become better at it.

On the list of potential cannabis resolutions for 2020 – I have done several of these over the years and STRONGLY encourage cannabis enthusiasts that haven’t had the pleasure of achieving the following resolutions – to try them in 2020.

Cannabis New Year’s Resolution – Grow Some Dank!

Obviously – if you’ve never grown weed before in your life, grow some! It’s an experience that will challenge you in ways you cannot anticipate. It will teach you patients and at the end of an arduous six months – you’ll hopefully smoke some of the finest buds you’ll ever smoke.

Growing weed can be achieved for as little as $50, so money really isn’t an issue. In fact, I recommend spending at least $100 to make it worth it. Also, build your own grow room complete with fans, lights, humidity checkers and the works.

You’ll get a new understanding of weed and a deeper appreciation for what it is. Additionally, you get hash, sugar leaf, live resin, and a bunch of other benefits from growing your own at home.

I’ve got plenty of tutorials on growing weed here on Cannabis.net and you can also shoot me a message here on the platform.

Cannabis New Year’s Resolution – Microdose some Dank!

This is both good for those who are chronic smokers and those who are thinking about trying cannabis for the first time. There are so many different ways to consume cannabis that most people tend to fall back to default – smoking.

However, making edibles or utilizing oil and microdosing cannabis is quite effective. This is especially true if you don’t want to get high. Cannabis microdosing gives you all of the benefits with none of the high.

For those people always chasing the high – perhaps, trying a more moderate approach will only serve to adjust your perception on weed. Microdose for a week by creating edibles or oils and creating a strict schedule to follow.

Depending on your condition or mental state, you’ll know what’s the right approach and if not, you can always do some due diligence and find out!

Cannabis New Year’s Resolution – Reset your Tolerance!

This is something that I do at least four times per year to be honest. Resetting your tolerance is key to maximizing your enjoyment of weed. It also creates a healthy respect for consuming weed. This is more of a personal test. How much do you “need” weed and how is life without it?

You’ll get a new found respect for weed and the first toke after 7-days of abstinence (or 21-days if you’re hardcore!) will be like the first virgin toke you did so many years back.

Cannabis New Year’s Resolution – Green Out!

Watch out for this one. I don’t recommend this to anyone with any underlying medical conditions. However, if you’ve never greened out – and isn’t a frail human being that requires special attention – green-the-fuck-out!

At least once, every consumer needs to feel the harsh slap of cannabis. The trick here is to make some potent brownies and to overdose on purpose. Don’t go too hard – but to be honest, once you’ve crossed the threshold of sanity – “too hard” will be a distant memory and “OMFG-wot-is-dis-shiTT!! Will be the new normal.

Start off with 2 brownies and wait an hour, and then increase with 2 brownies until you get so high you think spirits are trying to catch you. It won’t be pleasant. You’ll probably freak out and think you’re dying…but at the end of it all – you’ll be a bigger person or smoke a lot less weed.

However, you’ll also know that cannabis can send you into a deep state of “hyper stoned” – especially if you’re riding the “11-Hydroxy Wave”.

Cannabis New Year’s Resolution – Being Proud of who you are!

Finally, I know that the vast majority of the people who are reading this are open about their consumption habits – however, for those who are still hiding it. Perhaps this is the year where you say, “Fuck it…I smoke weed and that’s that!”

There comes a point in time when every person needs to realize that nobody else knows “what is going on”, and that your consumption habits are totally your business. Some people might agree, others might not…but irrespective of their position, only YOU get to live your life.

Thus – fuck’em and light a joint out in the open. Those who are unable to accept you for who you are, do not deserve a second of your time. Let 2020 be the year that you go public!

And with that, I wish you all a Merry Kushmas and a Hempy New Year. Irrespective of how your year went, I am truly grateful that I have the opportunity to reach out to fellow cannabis consumers, enthusiasts and activists on this platform.

Let your sacks overflow with ganja and may all your highs be pleasant! This is the stoner’s blessing!
