AirVape Legacy Review: Classical Design With Advanced Technology—  A Pure Convection Heating Vaporizer

I got to say yes, the AirVape Legacy is truly a unique, and stylish vaporizer, that worth taking a look at. The newest member of the AirVape lineup delivers pure convection heating and it can to vaporize both dry herbs and concentrates on another level.

Pretty rare to find dry herb vaporizers that do well with loose leaf and at the same time vaporizes concentrates with the same quality. Fresh out of the box you can turn on the Legacy by pressing the power button 3 times. 

With  the arrow buttons (<) (>) you can easily set the desired temperature anywhere between 212°F to 464°F, and that where the magic happens… it heats up in only 15 seconds!

Advanced technology inside

There is the15-second supersonic heat up time, that surely favors the user, but this device was built with quality materials from the inside out, keeping the planet in mind as well. 

The Legacy includes eco-friendly materials,that are pointing toward a sustainable future. Inside you can find a removable glass vapor path, and a gold-plated chamber, that is known to conduct heat better than stainless steel. Let’s not forget about the ceramic mouthpiece that we already liked on the previous AirVape models. 

The Legacy easily flips open revealing the herb chamber, - which also can be used with a micro-dosing basket (included in the package) - and battery. You will find out that the 3000 mAh battery is easily removable, which not only allows you long powerful sessions, but you can have a replacement always ready to go. This vaporizer also has USB-C charging port and features wireless charging abilities. However AirVape sells wireless charging docks, you can just use any kind of wireless charger. 

Unique exterior

The Legacy impressive on the outside as well. Incorporating hemp textile, and vegan leather in the design, gives it a cool edge and makes it unique among other vaporizers. I appreciate the LED screen that is easy to read and clearly displays everything that is happening with the vaporizer.

I got to mention though, holding it in my hands first is surprisingly heavy for a portable dry herb vaporizer, but on the other hand, the battery life is just unbeatable. 

(you can easily get a day or two worth of sessions, but keep it in mind I was using it on low-medium heat. Having the high temp. probably will drain the battery faster, but hey, can’t really complain there)

Also if you are familiar with the earlier AirVape X model, you know that the X is slim and pocket friendly but it does that at the cost of the battery life. So I don’t mind the Legacy being heavier if it means I don’t have to worry about charging it as much. 

How to use the AirVape Legacy?

There is a lot going on with this vaporizer. You can find plenty of functionality built-in, that you can control with only 3 buttons and their combinations. There are 2 main modes using the Legacy. There is session mode and there is on-demand. In session mode you turn on the device and choose your desired temperature, the little AirVape logo will spin until it reaches the previously set temperature, and it also vibrates when it’s ready so you don’t have to keep looking at the screen.

 At the end of the session which can be 3 or 5 minutes, the device will automatically shut down. On-demand mode allows you to take one hit and then come back later. Keep in mind, that in the on-demand mode you got to keep pressing the power button to reach the desired temperature. 

After choosing the mode that suits your need you just pop the front open and load your nicely ground substance. You can do that straight to the chamber or use the micro-dosing basket. 

If you want to go with concentrates just pick up the wax pad insert that is included in the box, place it in the chamber and you are good to go. The Legacy’s vapor production is great at all temperatures and you can enjoy the flavors as well, however going too high can compromise the taste. 

Keep it Clean

Since most parts of the Legacy is removable, it’s fairly easy to maintain it. If you give it a quick brushing after every session you won’t even need to worry about it much. If you use the extra chamber component, then the actual chamber won’t even get messy. 

All the removable parts can be soaked in rubbing alcohol, and the little screens can be changed as well if necessary. You can find extras in the box.

However the Legacy at first seems kind of heavy I can easily pass that after experiencing its performance.
