ANNOUNCEMENTS

The coronavirus pandemic has caused millions of people to work from home for the first time. Though the idea of working from home seems easy to many, as people get into the routine, they realize that they are more stressed than before. The main stress factor being they do not know when to stop working. The lines get blurred between work and home as you work from your bedroom.

The worrying part is that this is not a temporary phase, many offices may stick to the work-from-home model to a certain extent even after the pandemic dies. Hence, the way you handle the current work-from-home situation will set the tone for many years to come.

Here are a few tips that will make work-from-home easy for you.

1. Create a Dedicated Space to Work:

One of the most essential things you should do while working from home is to set boundaries. Set up your office in a corner of the house and designate that as your work zone. It need not be an entire room if not feasible, but make sure you set up a table and a chair at least to work. This will help you stay in your work zone and focus better.

2. Fix Time of Work:

While working from home, most people tend to do extra time because the work-life integration takes over and your work time gets flexible. While flexibility in work is great, stick to a schedule every day, and make sure working extra hours does not become your routine.  It is quite easy to stretch your working hours when you are at home, it will only take away time from your personal space.

3. Set Realistic Goals for Each Day's Work:

Let us be honest, being focus while working from home is difficult which means you might get distracted a lot and your working speed reduces. To be productive, realistically plan the day and stick to the plan, this will help you achieve more while working from home.

4. Inform Your Family Not to Disturb You at Work:

When at home, you may get disturbed by your family as they might not understand when not to approach you. Make it clear to them before you start working to approach you only in case of an emergency.

5. Self-Care is Essential:

Working from home will make your life further sedentary, which is why you should take out time to work out from home. Doing household chores will give you some physical activity, but that is not enough. Exercising will also refresh your mind and make you more energetic. Pamper yourself and eat a balanced diet to remain healthy.

The Bottom line- Give Yourself some Break:

As the world is fighting against coronavirus, most of us are already anxious and on top of that WFH can make you stressed. Practice a few anxiety relief tactics in order to remain calm and more focused. As per experts, kratom can be really helpful in reducing anxiety. If you are wondering where to buy kratom, check this for more details.

We all need some time for ourselves every day, which means work cannot infiltrate our entire day. What we are going through during the pandemic is already stressful and on top of that if you overlook self-care, then you are going to end up being depressed. Create boundaries and stick to it, which is the only feasible way to avoid any WFH burnout.
