History

Garden Remedies in Newton was founded in 2016 by Dr. Karen Munkacy, a board certified anesthesiologist, pain management specialist with several years as a practicing physician, medical school professor are UCLA and USC, and breast cancer survivor.  Throughout her treatment, Dr. Munkacy recalls the discomfort she felt during chemotherapy but because Ballot 3 had not passed in Newton, she strayed from breaking the law and recovered over time. With the goal to spare the suffering of others, Dr. Munkacy began working with lawmakers to promote safe access legislation for medical marijuana.  Her perseverance and determination resulted in a partnership with a medical cannabis team who shares the same passion for alleviating pain and discomfort and helping people.

Their carry the best seller, Top Shelf Taffy brand concentrates, a CO2 concentrate distilled from Garden Remedies in house grown indica strain, Tangerine Kush, it is solvent-free with hints of orange flavors designed for medical cannabis patients to feel energetic and uplifted.

This dispensary offers a 20% discount for first time patients and 15% for veterans and a customer loyalty program as an incentive for medical marijuana patients.  Garden Remedies lab tests their products and currently accepts cash and cards with an available ATM on site.

Delivery

Garden Remedies is proud to launch their medical cannabis delivery service in Worcester with plants to expand statewide soon. As one of the few dispensaries approved and licensed by the state of Massachusetts, Garden Remedies’ new delivery will connect homebound patients who cannot travel to their Newton dispensary with their full line of cannabis therapies.
