Harlequin is supposed to be a 75/25 sativa-dominant strain renowned for its reliable expression of CBD. A descendant of Colombian Gold, a Nepali indica, and Thai, and Swiss landrace strains, you can depend on the typical Harlequin to provide clear-headed, alert sativa effects. Unlike most high-CBD strains, Harlequin almost always develops a CBD:THC ratio of 5:2, making this strain one of the most effective out there for treatment of pain and anxiety, as CBD counteracts THC’s paranoia while amplifying its painkilling properties. That is, if, you get the phenome mentioned above. If you start from seed as we did you might get something entirely different. And yes, we did. Flavors can range from earthy musk to sweet mango, but without a doubt, what draws crowds to Harlequin is its ability to relax without sedation, and to relieve without intoxication.
Typically speaking, Harlequin is not generally for those smokers who are just looking to "get high" due to the low THC content. Ours is kind of upside down as in, high THC and low CBD. Medicinally speaking, however, this strain is excellent for patients looking for chronic pain relief or who enjoy meditating because of the amount of THC present in the cannabis.
The Organtica Harlequin strain is another wonder. As in we wonder or not if we should keep it. As a Harlequin, it's kind of the dark intense sister nobody wants to piss off. She is tasty, and at 18.32% THC, she just may kick you in the doughnuts, if you have doughnuts (does anybody really know what doughnuts are?). To be frank, we had hoped for a high CBD version, but don't tell her that. She gets kind of cranky. If you were ever a fan of Greenleaf's Shishka Berry, this may just be your new favorite. She is super sweet and despite her dark tendencies, deep down, she is a sweetie that will treat you right.
Smell/taste: Sweet cherry with a very, (almost fake tasting) pleasant floral after taste (freaky, really)
