Hy Hybrid

Chemdawg 91

Overview:

Often referred to as “Chem 91”, Chemdawg #91 is one of the most highly sought-after hybrid strains. Nobody is positive where the strain comes from, but the most common story is that it was created by a person that goes by the name “Chemdawg” on the East Coast of the United States. Some have further pressed on to say that it comes from a strain of Thai landrace. The “91” means that it was created in 1991 and that it is an offshoot of the original Chemdawg. The only known parent of Chemdawg #91 is Thai, and even that is subject to speculation, making the strain quite mysterious. Despite the confusion regarding its origin, Chemdawg #91 has been sprouting since the year it first seeded, and people have been trying to determine its two closest relatives ever since. The most commonly-speculated belief is that it is a cross between Chemdawg and Skunk. The strain gives off a strong, skunky, yet chemical-like, aroma, which would further suggest that it is a relative of Chemdawg and Skunk. This strain is most likely to cause a head high, though a slight body buzz will come along with it. For these reasons, it is fantastic for daytime pain relief. It will not put you to sleep, but it will numb whatever pain you may be experiencing. It also is known to significantly help mental illnesses, especially anxiety and depression-related cerebral ailments. Patients with muscle spasms have also had positive results after using the strain. Another positive trait that Chemdawg #91 has is its ability to bring a jolt of creativity to its user. The most negative effects that users have experienced are dry mouth and headache, dry mouth being very common and headache occurring only occasionally. Chemdawg #91 does best as a multi-branched plant and yields approximately twenty-seven grams, on average. It may also come in a number of fruit or diesel phenotypes. A moderate amount of fertilizer works best.

The Marijuana Industry Just Had a Trainwreck, God-Awful, Horrendous End to 2021, Is There Hope in 2022?

Europe is by far a highlight worldwide for the cannabis industry. While many, including this site, said do not expect worldwide legalization until the US legalized first due to the UN Drug Treaties, the rest of the world treated the UN just as they always do and ignored them and legalized. More and more countries are legalizing cannabis without US approval or waiting for the US to legalized it for access to the US financial systems. Germany by far was the biggest win for the marijuana industry, as they approved recreational marijuana for 2022 much like Canada did as a country in 2018. Mexico, Malta, Guernsey, Costa Rica, Belize, Jamaica, and a host of other countries are in the process of legalizing cannabis in 2022 in some form or another, even if they all start with national medical marijuana programs. So much for UN drug treaties, too much money and opportunity on the line to worry about getting scolded at the next UN meeting. Oh, COVID cancelled the next in-person meeting of the UN, too bad.
