Hy Hybrid

Gelato

Overview:

Gelato is sometimes called “Larry Bird”, but they are the same strain. It is a hybrid strain that was bred by Cookie Fam Genetics by crossing two other hybrids, Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookies and Sunset Sherbet. The name of the strain suddenly makes sense once you consider their sweet parent plants. The strain tastes sweet and floral. You will also note lavender undertones once you smoke it. The bud is deep purple with hairs the color of an overripe tangerine. After being tested, this strain is always high in THC, meaning that it is a bit of a heavy-hitter. Use carefully if you do not do well with stronger strains! Gelato is a euphoric, relaxed, happy strain. It also will make the user feel a jolt of creativity, so if you are in a creative field, Gelato may be for you. Some of the medical conditions it has been known to treat include stress, depression, pain, insomnia, and even fatigue. Because it takes on some sativa-like properties, the hybrid works better as a daytime strain. Unfortunately, Gelato has some negatives just like any other strain. Fortunately, neither of the side effects are that bad. Dry mouth and dry eye are the only reported cons that people that experienced with this strain.

These numbers are alarming; it has prompted the CDC to devise a plan for testing lung tissue and fluids from patients, hoping that the results will help uncover the chemicals responsible for sending people to the hospital. “They might be able to see components that we don’t see in the raw materials,” explains an official from the New York Health Department’s Wadsworth Laboratory, who has been testing state samples.
