The White

Overview:

The White is a powerful hybrid strain that originally seeded in the state of Florida. When it was first developed, the strain was known as “Triangle”, but the name changed once people got a good look at the plant and its beautifully unique white trichomes. The White not only shows off its flashy white crystals, but also its ability to grow tall with long, narrow leaves. After it is harvested, you will find lots of little brown hairs complementing the icy trichomes. It is one of the most unique-looking strains in existence. The origin of The White is not well-known. Its parent plants are not listed, and although it looks like it may be an OG, the rest of its traits suggest it is more like a West Coast strain. This bizarre combination makes it difficult to pinpoint how The White came to be. For now, all that we know was that it originated in Florida. The White is notable because it does not smell strongly at all, although its aroma is piney like most heavily-scented strains. In fact, the strain is famous for not smelling much at all. This makes it the perfect daytime hybrid if you do not like to smell like marijuana smoke after medicating. This strain is most effective in combating stress-related mental illness, depression, pain, insomnia, and chronic migraines. While its sativa-like properties uplift the user, its indica-like properties lower the user's inhibitions and helps rid pain. Unfortunately, The White does have some negative side effects. It most commonly causes dry mouth, but it also can lead to more disturbing side effects such as paranoia, anxiety, and dizziness. If you are prone to experiencing either of those side effects when you smoke marijuana, it is advised that you steer clear of this strain. Less serious side effects include dry eye, although it is less common.

Mexico Cannabis Update - What is Happening with Mexico's Weed Situation?

Mexico’s road to cannabis legalization has been stalled for two years. In 2018, the Supreme Court in Mexico ruled for the fifth consecutive time on a “pro cannabis legislation”. Within the Mexican Constitution, this automatically nullified cannabis prohibition. Lawmakers were charged with coming up with a game plan. While the court ruled it a “constitutional right” for every Mexican to grow and consume and possess cannabis, they don’t have the authority to dictate the regulations of the newly legalized marketplace.

How Does Legalizing Cannabis Reduce the Amount of Kids Going into Foster Care by 10%?

We estimate the effects of legalized recreational marijuana on entry into the foster-care system. Exploiting state-level variation in legalization and its timing, we estimate that legalization decreases foster-care placements by at least 10%, with larger effects in years after legalization, and for admissions for reasons of parental drug and alcohol abuse, physical abuse, neglect, and parental incarceration. Our findings imply that legalization may have important consequences for child welfare, and that substitution toward marijuana from other substances can be an important part of how legalization affects admissions.

Are Psychedelic Dispensaries the Next Big Business Boom?

Much like how cannabis legalization spread throughout North America, resulting in the growth of thousands of dispensaries and massive weed businesses and conglomerates alongside it, a few things need to happen first. Of course, psychedelics must be decriminalized and legalized. There have already been some cities/counties and states that have paved the way for decriminalizing psychedelics.
