Sa Sativa THC 16-23% CBD 0.03-0.2%

Jack Herer

Overview:

Jack Herer is a sativa-dominant cannabis strain that has gained as much renown as its namesake, the marijuana activist and author of The Emperor Wears No Clothes. Combining a Haze hybrid with a Northern Lights #5 and Shiva Skunk cross, Sensi Seeds created Jack Herer hoping to capture both the cerebral elevation associated with sativas and the heavy resin production of indicas. Its rich genetic background gives rise to several different variations of Jack Herer, each phenotype bearing its own unique features and effects. However, consumers typically describe this 55% sativa hybrid as blissful, clear-headed, and creative. Jack Herer was created in the Netherlands in the mid-1990s where it was later distributed by Dutch pharmacies as a recognized medical-grade strain. Since then, the spicy, pine-scented sativa has taken home numerous awards for its quality and potency. Many breeders have attempted to cultivate this staple strain themselves in sunny or Mediterranean climates, and indoor growers should wait 50 to 70 days for Jack Herer to flower.

Weed Talk NEWS – Mitch Counts Cannabis, Biggest US Marijuana Funding Deal Ever, and the LinkedIn of Pot

What is happening in marijuana business news this week?  Jimmy Young of Pro Cannabis Media and Curt Dalton of Cannabis.net get together by Zoom to discuss the latest cannabis news from around North America. This week we have Mitch McConnell, the Republican senator from Kentucky, and big supporter of the Hemp Bill and Kentucky farmers, slamming the Democrats’ use of the word “cannabis” in the new COVID-19 funding bill.  Mitch likes to count and he counts 68 times that the word cannabis is used in the new Democratic version of the stimulus package.  While we applaud Mitch for using the correct term for the plant, he does demonize those making a living and profiting from “marijuana”.

Does It Matter if Your CBD Comes from Industrial Hemp or Medicinal Cannabis Plants?

Though both are varieties of the same plant, the major talking point of industrial hemp and medicinal cannabis lies with CBD. Both contain a lot of cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids but with respect to their medicinal effect, the important concept is their CBD concentration. As stated earlier, industrial hemp contains more CBD compared to cannabis which has more THC than CBD. It is however important to state that that the CBD derived from both sources are the same in terms of effects and benefits. This is because the chemical composition of the compound does not change irrespective of the source.

Can You Give Cannabis to Cats and Dogs? - US Veterinarians Now Have Their Own Medical Cannabis Portal

A website that doubles as an educational portal was launched recently by the Veterinary Cannabis Society (VCS) for veterinarians as well as pet owners, and cannabis product businesses. This follows years of the exploding popularity of cannabidiol use for pets, as it’s shown promise in helping treat many ailments naturally: from cancer to anxiety in pets, while helping relieve arthritis, pains, and other illnesses that affect them in old age. But despite this, there are still many questionable claims, uses, and products out there.
