My name is Alina Vetrova, and I’m a Vending Equipment Setup Specialist at Vendland in Kazan(Russia). To me, setup work is more than technical preparation — it’s the art of giving machines life. Every vending unit we assemble becomes part of someone’s daily rhythm, serving a quiet purpose with consistency and care. My job is to make sure that purpose is fulfilled flawlessly, through precise installation, calibration, and testing.
My path to this field started with an early fascination for mechanical systems and applied electronics. I studied industrial automation at Kazan State Technical University, where I learned to understand the logic behind complex systems and how small details can shape performance. After university, I worked briefly in machine integration before joining Vendland — a company that truly values precision and innovation.
At Vendland, my work begins where engineering meets execution. I install and configure vending systems across commercial and public spaces, ensuring that every connection, circuit, and component works in harmony. Whether setting up machines for offices, transport hubs, or universities, I focus on more than functionality — I aim for intuitive operation, aesthetic alignment, and environmental efficiency. Every site has unique parameters, and my responsibility is to tailor the setup to achieve optimal performance within that specific context.
One of my proudest achievements was coordinating a complex multi-location installation across Kazan’s city metro system. It required precise logistical planning, on-site calibration under time pressure, and continuous collaboration with our software engineers. Watching passengers enjoy their first cups from those machines was deeply rewarding — a reminder that technical excellence always leads back to human satisfaction.
I’m also involved in developing internal setup standards at Vendland, helping define best practices for alignment, safety, and system diagnostics. I believe good setup work isn’t just technical — it’s procedural art. Every cable route, every temperature calibration, every interface adjustment tells a story of care and attention.
Beyond the technical side, I’m passionate about continuous improvement. I regularly test new installation tools, update calibration procedures, and explore smart diagnostics software. My goal is to make setups faster, safer, and more environmentally conscious.
Outside of work, I enjoy working with small robotics and designing DIY automation systems. These hobbies keep my hands active and my curiosity alive. I also love mentoring younger technicians, encouraging them to see setup work not as routine but as creative craftsmanship.
For me, every installation is a partnership between human precision and machine intelligence. I take pride in being the invisible link that turns an engineered idea into a living, functioning product.
