First Baby To Ever Receive CBD Oil Needs Our Help.
Addie Nielson, the first baby to receive CBD oil from a Denver Hospital, is fighting for her life. As a cannabis based community that is always clamoring for change, we need to step up and support this little girl.
It is one thing to post on Twitter saying how we want change, or to walk in a demonstration smoking a joint, but when a small infant who has seen improvement from CBD oil needs help, it is our human duty to give what we can to support her cause. By supporting Addie and her parents, you are making a statement about how you will no longer sit quietly by as the US government refuses to support CBD research for children. We have an obligation as citizens to vote and do the right thing for these families moving to Denver, living in tents, and risking their lives trying to help their sick children. We can Tweet, re-share, and post, but sometimes we have to open up our wallets to show we are really serious about change and helping another human being.

My beautiful, brave, determined daughter was born 3 weeks early on January 11, 2016. 2 days later she began having seizures and was medivaced to Grand Junction, CO. When that facility couldn't get her seizures under control, she was flown to Children's Hospital in Denver where we were told she had two strokes in utero and has a rare, incurable brain condition called polymicrogyria which was causing the seizures. We spent the first 2 months of her life there and never, despite the plethora of pharmaceuticals the many neurologists prescribed for her, were we able to gain control over her seizures. I have talked to so many health professionals, those in the holistic community, a local pastor and his wife, and numerous experts in the world of Cannabidiol (CBD). CBD is one of over 60 compounds found in the plant Cannabis Sativa. CBD is the part of the plant that does not have the psychoactive affect. Cannabis and CBD are still a very controversial subject, but I have met many families who had all but given up until putting their child on this oil. After giving Adeline one of the CBD oils, she did begin to show some improvement, however, she is back to having a seizure about every 10 to 20 minutes. I know that the miracle we are looking for is in this oil; we just have to find the right combination. I have had to quit my job in order to care for Adeline, as I have been told by many doctors that she will surely have no quality of life and will never walk, talk, or eat, and that she will most likely not survive (It hurts even to write this). I truly need help. I have found such kindness and help in so many of my friends, family, and even strangers. Some days I truly feel hopeless, but this oil and the community surrounding it has given me my hope back. Thank you all for your support during this terrifying, heartbreaking time in my life.
