What is Liposome CBD Extraction and Why is it the Industry Standard
With CBD becoming the next big miracle drug in the US and the world, it’s important to start taking a look at things like methods of preparation, added ingredients, whether it’s hemp-based or cannabis-based and so forth.
When I started consuming CBD, I simply took it without ever wondering about the extraction methods or the likes. However, nowadays I’m far more interested in how my products are being put together seeing that I’m putting it in my body.
This is when I stumbled across Liposome CBD extractions. I do have a fairly good understanding of what goes on with cannabis extractions and infusions, but the word Liposome was foreign to me. This prompted me to investigate a bit more.
What is Liposome?
According to Wikipedia;
“A liposome is a spherical vesicle having at least one lipid bilayer. The liposome can be used as a vehicle for administration of nutrients and pharmaceutical drugs.[2] Liposomes can be prepared by disrupting biological membranes (such as by sonication).” - Wikipedia
In other words, it’s used like we would use any other solvent such as butane, except unlike a solvent…it’s the actual binding agent.
Within the medical community, Liposome has been used to bypass the gastric system to deliver medicine more efficiently. Liposome also bypasses the blood-brain barrier, meaning that it reaches the cells at a higher efficiency rate meaning that the medicine is more effective.
Traditional delivery mechanisms has to pass through the gastric system first. It is during this stage that many of the medicines or nutritional/medical properties are destroyed. This intracellular method of delivering the medicine makes it infinitely more effective.
It wasn’t until a few years back that the nutrition community started using Liposome as a method of delivering their supplements. This sparked a revolution as it delivered a higher effective rate of administration and allowed people to take advantage of the full spectrum of medical benefits.
Why Liposome CBD Extraction is the Industry Standard
Liposome is lipid base. As we know, cannabinoids bind to lipid molecules and isn’t soluble in water. This is why cannabis stays in your system for up to 90 days, because it binds to the fatty acids in your body. This makes Liposome such an effective method of administration of CBD and even THC or any other minor cannabinoid.
Not only do you avoid going through the gastric system, destroying a lot of the essential CBD, it binds more effectively than other delivery agents.
This also means that the CBD reaches your cells at a higher rate of efficacy, meaning you get more of the benefits, quicker.
When comparing Liposome to other delivery systems, we see that it is currently the most effective way of delivering cannabinoids to people. It’s noninvasive and has a unique synergy with cannabinoids such as CBD and THC making it an exceptionally convenient delivery system.
What to look for when buying CBD products
From now on, I recommend that when you buy a CBD product, ask whether or not it uses Liposome Extraction methods.
There currently aren’t many companies doing this, but it will quickly start to grow in popularity. It’s important to know these things because as Hemp was legalized in the US, the rise of CBD will be tangible over the next 18 months.
This means that there will be an influx of CBD products everywhere, and not every company will be implementing the best practices when it comes to the extraction and binding methods.
No longer will we live in a society where “CBD oil” is just “CBD oil”. These days we’ll need to look at the processes behind the product, just like you would with any other consumable.
It’s important to make informed decisions when it comes to your health and wellness, and for now…Liposome Extraction methods is the best bet.
Where can you find Liposome CBD Products?
As mentioned, there are several places that are selling it. I recently met up with Joe from The Owl Instinct who explained to me all about Liposome CBD extraction. They are one of the few providers that I trust enough to talk about here. I haven’t done due diligence in finding out where to buy it, but for now…I can definitively tell you that this is a good source.
You can reach out to Joe on his website for more information about Liposome CBD extractions, I simply believed that after learning about the efficacy of the method…it was my duty to share it with you all.
As the world embraces more cannabis products, we’ll be presented with many different options. It’s time we don’t simply take the word of the supplier in relation to the quality and purity of a product, but rather start doing our own investigation to know what we are putting into our bodies.
Hopefully this article shed some light on these issues.
