The Great Perspective Shift is Happening – Apple Allows Cannabis Apps on the App Store

cannabis perspective shift

Earlier this year, Amazon made a public announcement that they would no longer consider be testing for cannabis within their facilities.

The world went ape shit!

Now, Apple joins the party with a new announcement saying that Marijuana Related Apps will be permitted on the App Store. There are rules though, but this is a major shift in public/corporate interaction with cannabis.

 We’ll be taking a look at the specific changes that they made in their policy and how this will continue to snowball all the way towards complete federal rescheduling of the plant. We sort of know where the Biden Administration wants to go with cannabis scheduling, but we’ll see how it plays out.

In the meanwhile let’s take a closer look at Apple’s shift in policy.

The Apple and the Weed

Here’s the Updated Policy from Apple;

“Apps that encourage consumption of tobacco and vape products, illegal drugs, or excessive amounts of alcohol are not permitted on the App Store. Apps that encourage minors to consume any of these substances will be rejected. Facilitating the sale of controlled substances (except for licensed pharmacies and licensed or otherwise legal cannabis dispensaries), or tobacco is not allowed.”

“Apps that provide services in highly-regulated fields (such as banking and financial services, healthcare, gambling, legal cannabis use, and air travel) or that require sensitive user information should be submitted by a legal entity that provides the services, and not by an individual developer. Apps that facilitate the legal sale of cannabis must be geo-restricted to the corresponding legal jurisdiction.”

Basically, Apple says that you will be able to have an app for delivering weed on the App Store if;

  1. Your App is submitted by the legal entity (Dispensary, Delivery Service, Etc)

  2. You are Geo-Located in a Legal Cannabis Zone

  3. You’ll have to prove you are licensed by the State

This gives dispensaries and delivery services, transportation services and other related businesses within the cannabis sphere access to millions of potential customers.

This shift is massive!

Google still isn’t having any of it though as their policy reads as follows;

“We don’t allow apps that facilitate the sale of marijuana or marijuana products, regardless of legality,” it says, adding that some examples of violations would be “allowing users to order marijuana through an in-app shopping cart feature” or “assisting users in arranging delivery or pick up of marijuana.”

Seeing that Apple is one of the world’s most valued companies, this public shift in policy will have an effect on corporate culture across the globe.

What’s happening?

There’s a shift occurring within the mass consciousness of humanity. It’s been happening for a while now and over the past two years the shift has been far more intense.

We are coming to the “End of an Era” and embracing a new way. I frequently tell people that “The Last Days of What was look eerily similar to the First Days of what is to come.”

What we need to realize is that the WORLD HAS ALREADY CHANGED and we’re only now seeing the pieces fit into their new configuration. The end of the old ways means the destruction of ideology, certain institutions and norms, and the adoption of new norms and standards.

We know that this has already affected things that were once considered “unshakeable” such as gender and the entire fluidity of self. The inward representations of self are now becoming explicitly projected onto society – and as a result, there is a lot of clashing happening.

Whether this is good or bad is a matter of perspective and context.

Most people these days could give two shits about your sexual or gender preferences as long as it doesn’t infringe on the liberty and opportunities of others. The same goes for race, sex, etc.

Despite what the Media Machine is trying to sell – if you actually talk to people on the streets, void of political filters – most people are quite tolerable about other people’s preferences.

Cannabis was long a contentious point in society.

The youth used it as a means of rebellion, politicians used it as a tool of power and support. The police used it as a means of bending the law to grant them more powers.

The essence of the past era rests on the suppression of cannabis. It was an era where people blindly trusted the government, accepted their rule as final, and never questioned anything.

Gone are those days!

The pendulum swung the other way. Now we don’t know who to trust, we question everything!

But this is only a temporary situation – don’t fret young ones. Right now we’re in the Great Paradigm Shift. We’re abandoning old “outdated ideals” and bringing in new updated behavioral algorithms.

Some of the new ideas are going to be rejected. No matter what you try to do or say, there still are some core fundamentals that the vast majority will not bend to.

However, there will be some things that will be radically transformed. For example, before the end of this century – unless we blow ourselves up – we’ll be colonizing space.

With the psychedelic revolution coming back, we’re going to be entering into a second “awakening”. Cannabis has already allowed enough of the world’s population to liberate themselves from old paradigms, to become more agile in their thinking.

When you add psychedelics to the mix, you can rest assured that this will once more impact music, technology, literature, culture, etc.

The neo-psychedelic revolution is coming and it starts with the full legalization of cannabis. This neo-psychedelic revolution will be far removed from the 1960’s “Peace & Love” movement. This will be far more scientific in nature.

However, “Peace and Love” will still remain a central theme within the healing of psychological wounds, as these are the mechanisms of healing. It simply won’t be represented by nudity and beards.

Recreationally speaking, once the pharmaceutical industry gets a hold of psychedelics – you can rest assured that it will trickle down into the public domain.

The older generations will die off – and with them, their ideas. The younger generation, the generation that are birthing babies these days – they are all the misfits that helped birth the internet, made cartoons for adults popular, and acted as the bridge between “Then and Now”.

These adults, the ones taking up the mantle of leadership within society, will begin flexing their ideas in the next 10-years or so in the forms of apps, literature, movies, etc.

By then, cannabis is fully legal.

We just need to be careful to not have the old industry dinosaurs – like Biden and crew – to give cannabis exclusively to the pharmaceutical companies.

It would be a hard sell, but if at any moment in this year they recommend scheduling cannabis to a Schedule-II status…I beg you to start protesting the living fuck out of it!

That would be a corporate power grab.

But I digress….
