The importance of testing the potency of your cannabutter and cannabis edibles cannot be stressed enough. It doesn't just tell you how strong or potent a batch is, on the flip side it also lets you know if it's weak. A lot of factors like soil conditions, how long it was from the time the plant was harvested to the time it was used, harvesting techniques, environmental factors, etc can affect the level of potency of cannabis and unless properly tested you won't know the level of potency of what you're consuming.

This is not the first year the government of Colorado has organized something like this. Last year, the state held an auction for cannabis-themed vanity license plates and generated over $40,000. All the raised funds in 2021 were donated to the Colorado Disability Funding Committee to pay for new and effective programs for the disabled residents of the state.
