With almost 86 million people across the region consuming pot on an annual basis, and with the consumption of medical cannabis alone expected to grow quicker in Asia than in other regions, the report states that Asia can certainly achieve the $5.8 billion value by 2024 provided that other countries legalize it either recreationally or medically.

Exciting new research presented at the American College of Chest Physicians conference found hospitalized COVID patients who used cannabis had significantly lower rates of intubation, respiratory issues, organ failure, cardiac arrest, and death compared to non-consumers. This data reinforces earlier studies showing better COVID outcomes among cannabis patients. It adds to the scientific case that humanity's oldest plant ally uniquely equips our biology for resilience against all types of challenges, even novel viruses.

I personally don’t believe it’s a racist word and rather “thinking it’s racist” is the real racism. It’s my hope that at the end of this article you too can see why “removing marijuana” from the books does little combat actual racism and seems more like a “whitewash” of the past trying to distance oneself from the guilt.
