What is the Difference between Delta-8, 9, 10, and THC-O? Cannabis.net Sits Down with Delta Extrax (Sponsored)
Do you know your Delta's? The hemp and cannabis industry is getting confusing when it comes to Delta-8, 9, 10, and THC-O. What is legal? What does each different Delta do in your body? We sat down with Delta Extrax to find out what makes each product they sell different and what can a consumer expect to feel with each Delta. Thanks for your time, let's get to right to it!
1. What is Delta Extrax?
Delta Extrax is the leading consumer brand in the alternative products market. We offer customers a wide variety of safe and effective Delta-8 THC, Delta 10 THC, THC-O, THCP, THCV, and CBG products.
Our products are lab-tested and certified to ensure customers receive the highest quality products. Backed by an incredible team of dedicated professionals in the counterculture market, our customer-focused company strives to ensure your satisfaction with every order.
2. When did you first come up with the idea that you wanted to be involved in the hemp or cannabis industry?
We decided that we wanted to be part of the Hemp industry when we first launched Savage CBD - our sister company. We realized how popular CBD products were, but noticed that some users wanted more. After much deliberation we discovered Delta 8 THC, and decided to separate our CBD products from our Delta 8 THC products by creating Delta Extrax.
Upon launching Delta 8 THC we noticed the high demand for psychoactive products in states where marijuana was not yet legal. This led to us venturing into other lesser known cannabinoids, and this has been the case ever since then.
3. How do you feel about Delta-8 and the legal problems it is having in some states?
We’re not surprised to hear about the issues that Delta 8 has been running into. This is because Delta 8 THC is still a lot newer than Delta 9 THC. Also, there isn’t enough information about the long term effects of Delta 8 or Hemp derived THC. However, we’re optimistic that the laws will change once they are challenged in court. Until then, the best we can do is comply with the orders and do our best to challenge those laws in court.
4. Delta Extrax has Delta 8, 9, 10, and THC-O, what is the difference between them that the consumer should know about?
There are several differences between Delta 8, 9 ,10 and other forms of Hemp-derived THC. The biggest difference is in the carbon bonds of each type of THC. The numbers in the name “Delta” refer to where the double carbon bond is located. In Delta 8, the double carbon bond is located in the 8th carbon. In Delta 9, the double bond is located in the 9th bond, and so on. It may not seem like a big difference, but the location of the double carbon bond is important.
The double bond in the THC carbon chain in part, can determine the type of high you get. The most potent form of the Delta strains is Delta 9. However, that doesn’t mean that the other variations can’t provide a similar experience. It just means that it will take more of it to get you in a similar headspace.
Other cannabinoids such as THC-O, THCP, THCV, etc. are generally hemp-derived. Although they can be extracted from marijuana, doing so would mean that they are no longer classified as hemp. The biggest difference between these types of cannabinoids is their potency. On their own, these cannabinoids can be so concentrated and potent that they are psychedelic. This is the reason these cannabinoids are usually cut with Delta 8 THC and terpenes.
5. What was one mistake in building your business that you wish you could do over?
The one mistake that we wish we could take back is not anticipating how popular these products would be. Although marijuana is legal in a lot of states, there are still some states that don’t have any THC available. This has created the need for Hemp-derived THC to fill in the space. We wish we could go back and tell the U.S. that our products are available online for sale.
6. Any advice for someone thinking about getting started in the hemp or cannabis industry?
Be prepared to face many uphill battles. The ever changing climate of Hemp is very difficult to manage. You don’t know what decisions lawmakers will make that can drastically change your business from one day to the next. Also, you will have to be very flexible and be prepared to shift with the market. It’s best to diversify in the event one product can no longer be sold, like with the case of vapable Hemp and the post office.
7. Do you ship products all over the world or just the US and Canada?
No, our products are only available in the United States due to Customs seizing packages going into Canada. In order to avoid any complications we only sell to the United States and only states where Delta 8 THC is legal.
8. What is the best way for consumers to contact you? Email? Social media?
We don’t offer customer service assistance on Social Media because our marketing team is in charge of those platforms. If you have any questions regarding our products or wish to order wholesale we can be reached by email: support@deltaextrax.com or by phone: (844) 669-4999.
9. Any special discount code for Cannabis.net readers who want to try your stuff?

10. When do you think we will see full US Federal legalization?
Once Marijuana has been made legal Federally, we expect for Hemp-derived THC to be available shortly after. Although the Federal government has no issues with Delta 8, or any other Hemp-derived THC, we expect states to follow suit.
