10 Wackiest CBD Products of 2019

crazy cbd products

There’s no denying it. 2019 was a banner year for CBD. Fresh off of the 2018 Farm Bill’s passing, CBD hype swept the nation, reaching fever pitch and introducing a good number of new products to the market, many of which showed up in groceries and mainstream health stores across the country. For a while there, it seemed like everywhere you turned there it was: CBD fever taking hold, with products ranging from the no-brainers to the decidedly strange. To wrap up the year, we’ve compiled a list of some of the wackiest CBD products to hit shelves this year.

According to Forbes, the CBD market is expected to grow by 700 percent in 2020, so you can expect the list of wacky products to continue growing. Until then, check out the ones we’ve outlined here.

Carl’s Jr. CBD Burger

To celebrate this year’s annual International Weed Day 4/20, Carl’s Jr. released a special CBD-infused burger at its Denver, Colorado branches. They called it the Rocky Mountain Burger. Apart from the CBD-infused sauce, each burger also came topped with pickled jalapenos, pepper jack cheese, and waffle fries. On the day, the popular food chain sold over 2,000 of the burgers, which sounds like it was a resounding success. Now, whether or not the CBD sauce actually had any effect is unclear. In all likelihood, this was another way for a big company to capitalize on CBD’s popularity.

CBD chocolate

While CBD chocolate may have been around for a while, this year saw an onslaught of new brands like Gataka, CBD Living, and Lulu’s Chocolate. The chocolates come in a variety of forms, from bars to bites, with varying strengths as well. Some bars contain from 60mg to 120mg CBD per packet. Who doesn’t love chocolate? This marriage seems like a match made in heaven.

CBD vaginal suppositories

Foria Basics’ CBD vaginal suppositories promise to provide women with relief from menstrual cramps and inflammation. Each suppository contains 100mg of broad-spectrum CBD. While it may be a strange idea for some, CBD is known for its PMS-relieving benefits, so it’s not a huge stretch. However, as the FDA still hasn’t started regulating CBD products, it’s a good idea to consult with a doctor before using these.

CBD deodorant

A few brands released CBD-infused deodorants this year, like Natural Stress Solutions and Schmidt’s Naturals. Apart from Cannabidiol, these deodorants also contain baking soda, cocoa butter, arrowroot powder, and essential oils like cypress oil, tea tree oil, and neem oil. While this product does make sense for CBD’s skin-soothing properties, it’s still an unexpected combination.

CBD lube

CBD lube promises increased sensitivity and heightened relaxation, which, when combined, can lead to stronger and better orgasms. According to the companies promoting these products, CBD lube can also help prevent irritation and help with vaginal pain. Though it may earn a few snickers, proponents of CBD lube swear by its efficacy, so who’s really laughing in the end?

CBD bath salts

Vertly’s CBD bath salts contain 50mg of hemp-derived full-spectrum CBD and a slew of essential oils and extracts, including lavender, lemongrass, ginger, marjoram, and rosemary. Combined with the relaxing botanicals and soothing natural salts, this product promises relief from stress and various aches and pains.

CBD toothpicks

These aren’t your grandma’s toothpicks that’s for sure. But maybe they should be? Unlike regular toothpicks, these aren’t meant to be discarded right after use. Instead, users are encouraged to suck or chew on them for at least 20 minutes. It’s perfect for people who are orally-fixated. Ignite’s CBD toothpicks come in a variety of flavors like cinnamint, mango mint, lemongrass, menthol, passion fruit and coffee. They promise relief from tooth pain and the relaxing effects of CBD.

CBD potato chips

Jay’s by Earthshine Organics makes CBD-infused potato chips with servings of 100mg, 200mg, or 300mg of CBD per packet, providing a tasty way to get your Cannabidiol and, according to some studies, an effective way too. They’ll satisfy your salty snack craving while providing you with a relaxing dose of CBD. It’s win-win.

CBD hand sanitizer

This year, CBD topicals company Felix & Ambrosia released its Bugger Off CBD-infused hand sanitizer, with each 1oz bottle containing 25mg of CBD isolate. The jury’s out on whether these actually work as a CBD product. The company also sells CBD foot cream and sunblock. We think you’re probably better off choosing one of those.

CBD toothpaste

Just like the CBD toothpicks, CBD toothpaste (Oraximax by AXIM Biotechnologies, in particular) promises to provide relief from tooth pain while also touting antibacterial and anti-inflammatory benefits. For people with gum and tooth problems, like gingivitis, this might be a game-changer. For everybody else, you’re probably better going with your regular brand.
