Cons

Nothing in life is all positives, and growing different strains of cannabis in the same grow room is not an exception. It has some downsides. They include;

Physical effort: The process of growing different strains of cannabis in the same grow room is bound to be labor-intensive and physically demanding. This is because a lot of work must be put into meeting the unique needs of each strain. This includes the effort required for monitoring, maintenance of each strain, watering patterns and types of nutrients required. All of this sums up to mean a lot of work for the grower if the integrity of the growing process is to be kept.

Space: Indicas and sativas grow differently as indicas are known to be short and bushy while sativas grow tall and slender while increasing in size during the flowering phase. This means that in the same room which contains sativas and indicas, if not properly trained by the grower, the sativas are bound to crowd out the indicas and prevent them from getting adequate sunlight. This leads to competition for space and nutrients which affects yield

Harvest times: The grower should expect different harvest times as indicas are bound to flower faster than sativas whereas hybrids have similar flowering times. This means the grower has to be used to the concept of harvesting in shifts based on the requirements of the strains present.
