Feeling Stuck? Use Cannabis as a catalyst for change!

There are moments in life when you simply feel stuck. This COVID situation has forced billions of people into a state of “stuck-ness”; where they no longer feel like they are moving forward. Perhaps you’re suffering from job loss, or your relationship is on the rocks due to the bottled up stress and unspoken hurts over the years. The world is caving in and you’re in the center – you can’t breathe…it’s getting darker…

But how does one get stuck? It’s not like you choose to crash and burn. For many – it’s a global pandemic that was the catalyst to being stuck – for others this feeling was there for much longer but only now is manifesting.

In today’s article we’ll be talking about ways that you can use cannabis to unstuck yourself from a “sucky-situation.” To do this we’ll first need to understand exactly what “being stuck” actually means.

Why you get stuck in the first place?

The word “stuck” suggests that a person is “locked in a particular space – incapable of movement – rigidness”. It suggests that a person has become “set in a particular way of seeing or doing things” and now – the world around this structure no longer fits.

As your behaviors stop producing the necessary results to maintain the “conditions” your identity has established as essential – and as they collapse, panic sets in. The more you double-down on these behaviors – the more stuck you become.

In a way – being stuck means that you have run out of choices because the way you perceive life doesn’t allow you to see any other options.

Cannabis as a mental “lubricant”

Consider the amount of stress you feel when you’re stuck – when things simply isn’t working out. This increased-level of stress, activates a 1st-circuit Fight/Flight response which literally makes it more difficult to make rational decisions.

In a way – the more stress you feel makes it more difficult to break out of the cycle. Thus – one of the best things you could do to get “unstuck” is to completely (temporarily) let go of the situation. You need to distract your conscious mind from the problem and allow your creative subconscious to work on it.

Your subconscious has the ability to run your problem-scenario through internal simulations that can create an alternative reaction to the situation that is more beneficial to you. However – it cannot do this unless you allow it to do so and this can only be achieved when letting go of the problem temporarily.

This can be achieved through practices like hermetic breathing, yoga, walks in the park and so forth – but sometimes the mind is locked into a particular configuration and cannot break free. This is true for people suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and true for people submerged in a particular situation for a long time.

You develop a sort of “tunnel vision” where you can only see the evidence that supports the idea about ‘why you are fucked right now!”

As with sufferers of PTSD – smoking cannabis may help to interrupt these mental processes – giving you a break from the torment of thinking about the problem. When you are thinking about the problem – you are NOT thinking about the solution and this perspective change might be what you need to get unstuck.

Is there any specific way of using cannabis to untick yourself?

Some people like to smoke marijuana, others like to eat it – whatever helps you to break free from “circular thinking patterns” where you magnify your troubles by continually focusing your attention on it.

In order to break this cycle – whichever way feels the most effective for you is the correct way. Some people even microdose psilocybin in order to induce this “detached thinking process” where you enter into a “field of field state” – bigger than the individual.

Of course – you don’t have to eat mushrooms to disrupt these processes. As we mentioned – yoga, walking, eating a burger, watching a movie can work as well. However – if you’re locked and nothing seems to work – try smoking a good amount of weed.

By “good amount” – make sure you get fucking stoned! You want to not allow your conscious mind to “control the situation” considering that it’s the conscious mind’s fault you’re in this situation in the first place.

Now – you need to ensure that the subconscious mind has the time and space to do the necessary work of getting you out of this jam – and to do that will require your conscious mind to be baked beyond recognition.

This should not be a chronic practice – and should only be used when you find yourself with your back against the wall – all options explored and nothing seemed to work. In these cases – cannabis can be the catalyst to allow you to wiggle out of your situation or at the very least, allow you to accept the situation at hand.
