Imagine getting paid $3,000 USD every month for smoking pot. Dream job? Or would it ruin weed for you forever? It really depends on the workflow.

Anyhow, if you’re interested in an opportunity like this, and are a resident of Canada or the US, then you are eligible to actually get this job. “American Marijuana” has recently made headlines with this job offer. Called the “Cannabis Dream Job”, you’re essentially going to get paid for smoking weed and writing reviews, making videos and simply being a content creator relating to all things weed.

For your efforts, you’ll get a sweet $3k per month, which isn’t “a whole lot” but considering that your job is literally to smoke weed all day…it’s not bad at all! I’m sure that there are plenty of you fine folks sitting at home right now salivating for this position.

Here’s what the company had to say about the position.

“ We’re looking for someone to review a wide variety of cannabis products to give our readers an honest and reliable insights on various cannabis products. And they have to live in a state in America or Canada where medical marijuana is legal.

The applicant will have to write about their honest reviews and opinions of the product in the form of a blog. Moreover, they must also be comfortable in front of the camera since the job includes unboxing videos and explainer videos of how each cannabis product performs and differs from other, more notable products in the category.”

While many of you might be thinking at this moment, “I’ve got what it takes!” there is one more thing that the company included in their job offer which is important to highlight.

“But DO NOT expect us to hire you just because you can smoke because we’re looking for a guy who also has extensive knowledge of marijuana to educate our readers.”

Before you go ahead and apply…consider this first!

Sometimes, people might have a desire to “do the things they love” as a job. Depending on what we’re talking about, this could either be a good thing or a bad thing. Let’s take “game testing” as an example.

There are many people who have a preconceived notion that “game testing” must be all fun and…well…games! However, Game Testing, like any other job will have plenty of tedious activities that you’d have to repeat – like writing up reports, making suggestions and so forth.

Apart from spending up to eight hours of playing video games straight, over time…you could end up hating playing video games.

That’s what happens when you take certain hobbies and turn them into careers. I’m not saying that this is the case with this particular job offer, but it is something to consider prior to applying.

If you’re a casual smoker, or someone who is not entirely passionate about cannabis, I’d rather look for alternative employment options.
