easy to make edibles

Sure, it’s so simple to go to your neighborhood dispensary and buy some cannabis edibles.

There are countless varieties of edibles in the market these days, and they are fairly easy to procure. However, it’s also so much fun to make your own edibles from the comfort of your own home. Making your own cannabis edibles is easy, and you get full control of all the ingredients that go into making it too. This way you can have peace of mind that what you consume doesn’t have any additives, preservatives, or any other nasty stuff that some commercially made products have.

Here are some of the easiest edible recipes you can make today.

Before you get started, check out this article on how to decarboxylate your weed – an essential process for making edibles!

Cannabis Sugar

A homemade cannasugar recipe is extremely versatile and handy especially if you enjoy making your own candies and baked goods. It can also be used to infuse your beverages and coffee with an extra kick of THC. Pretty much anywhere you need sweetening, this sugar will do the trick – while giving you a deliciously sweet dose of THC.

Ingredients:

3 grams decarboxylated marijuana

1 cup white or brown sugar

1 cup grain alcohol

1 glass jar

Cheesecloth

Instructions:

Place the decarboxylated cannabis into the jar. Cover the jar with the alcohol, and seal it. Allow it to sit for half an hour, but be sure to shake it every 5 minutes or so. Use the cheesecloth to strain the liquid, and get rid of the leftover bud.

Pour in the sugar to the strained liquid and mix it well. Pour it into a glass baking dish, then bake at 93C or 200F, mixing it regularly until the alcohol has completely evaporated. Then remove it from the oven. An alternative to baking it is to place the liquid mixture on a plate on the stove, cooking it at low heat until all the sugar has evaporated.

Once the sugar has cooled down, break it down into smaller pieces and leave it in an airtight container. Add as needed to your favorite food and drink recipes.

Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich

Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are among the most iconic sandwiches of all time. Turn this classic up a notch by using cannabis infused peanut butter for the all-time perfect snack.

Ingredients:

2 cups roasted peanuts

2 tablespoons cannabis oil

Salt for tasting

Your favorite jelly

Sliced bread

Food processor

Glass jar

Peanut oil – optional, if you want creamier peanut butter

Instructions:

First, we’ll make the infused peanut butter by pulsing the 2 cups of peanuts in the food processor. Continue to pulse until the nuts have been completely ground. Blend them all for one minute and use a spatula to place all the excess pieces on the processor’s sides to put them in the bottom. Blend again.

Repeat this process until the peanut butter looks clumpy. Pour cannabis oil and some salt into the blender, then process until everything has been thoroughly incorporated.

Now, it’s time to bring all the ingredients together. Spread out the medicated goodness onto each slice of bread, then add the jelly.

Cannabis Bacon

Who doesn’t love bacon?

This recipe lets you enjoy your favorite bacon with a high. It’s also extremely easy to make. Wake and bake has never been so simple and delicious with this recipe!

Ingredients:

Fresh uncooked bacon

Ground up cannabis (this recipe is a fantastic way to make use of any excess shake that you have)

Two ungreased baking sheets

Note: This recipe requires some experimentation with your ingredient ratio. A good general rule of thumb is to start with a gram of shake or ground buds for 10 strips of bacon.

Instructions:

First, decarb your weed. Next, spread the bacon strips on the baking sheet. Put the decarboxylated weed into a salt shaker, or use your hands, to sprinkle the cannabis evenly onto each side of the bacon strips.

Place the bacon in the oven and then heat it to 275 for 10 minutes. Flip the bacon then bake for 10 minutes again. Remove the bacon, allow it to cool, and enjoy!

Strawberry Jam

Strawberry jam is an extremely easy dish that can be used in so many different ways. You can spread it onto sandwiches and even add it into pancakes and some baked goods. An infused strawberry jam is an easy, super versatile edible recipe that you can make and keep in your refrigerator for several weeks.

First, you’re going to need your cannabis sugar such as in the recipe earlier.

Ingredients

1 cup cannabis sugar

3 cups white sugar

2 pounds hulled strawberries

¼ cup lemon juice

Heavy bottomed saucepan

Cooking thermometer

Sterile glass jar

Instructions:

Crush the strawberries in a wide bowl until you have been able to produce around 4 cups of it. Transfer it into the saucepan then add the cannabis sugar, sugar, and lemon juice all together.

Gently stir it on low heat until the sugar has completely dissolved. Gradually increase the heat to high then bring it to a boil. Continue to stir often until the mixture reaches 105C. Transfer the jam into the jars but be sure to leave around ½ inch of space from the cover. Seal it properly; using an airtight container is best.

Give it another mix before serving.
