The fun part comes when you can share content on the app in the form of text, video, or images which viewers can then vote on by swiping left or right. When you swipe right, it means “pass the Duby” but when you swipe left, it means “put it out”.

Each new user on Duby begins with an influence rating of 3, and each time they light up a Duby it is passed on to 3 others users in their location. When these people pass the Duby, the new user’s influencer rating increases, and each Duby reaches more members which then gives everyone the opportunity to become more influential socially. On the other hand, if too many people swipe left or choose to put out the Duby then the user’s score will drop.
